- Description
- The United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, Contracting and Procurement Branch 2, IBCT Product Line intends to issue a Commercial Request for Quote (RFQ) for Dockside Repairs to the USCGC SPAR (WLB-206), a 225 Seagoing Buoy Tender. The Coast Guard intends to conduct the procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The NAICS Code is 336611 and the small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees. The simplified acquisition will be issued as a Best Value Request for Quote (RFQ), on or about June 17, 2011. The RFQ will be issued via the Federal Business Opportunity (FEDBIZOPPS) web page at www.fbo.gov. This requirement will be evaluated using past performance as an evaluation factor. Hard copies of the specification and solicitation will not be issued. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the FEDBIZOPPS web page for RFQ release and all subsequent amendments. FEDBIZOPPS also contains an optional automatic notification service. THE ACQUISITION WILL BE SOLICITED AS A SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. A CD-ROM containing all applicable drawings is available free of charge to contractors upon request not later than three (3) days from the solicitation issuance. The CD-ROM(s) contain WINDOWS compliant raster/vector formats (e.g.*.DWF, etc). The performance period will be 57 calendar days and is expected to begin on or about 06 SEP 2011. The place of performance will be the homeport of the vessel, Kodiak, AK. The scope of the acquisition is for various repairs that may include the following: Ship Service Diesel Generator, Engine Top End Overhaul; Circuit Breakers (60 Hz,), Inspect and Test; Potable Water Pneumatic Tanks, Clean and Inspect; Potable Water System Relief Valve, Renew; Compressed Air Receivers, Clean, Inspect and Test; Compressed Compressed Air System Valves, Inspect and Test; Grey Water Holding Tanks, Clean and Inspect; Sewage Holding Tanks, Clean and Inspect; Sewage Piping, Clean and Flush; Tanks (Grey Water Holding), Preserve "Partial"; Tanks (Sewage Holding), Preserve "Partial"; Temporary Services, Provide; Shower Deck Drain, Modification; Deck Covering (Interior Wet/Dry), Renew; Fuel Transfer Pumps, Align; Tanks (Potable Water), Clean; Tanks (Potable Water), Inspect; Tanks ( Grey Water Holding ), Preserve " 100% "; Tanks (Potable Water), Preserve " 100% "; Tanks ( Potable Water ), Preserve " Partial "; Tanks ( Sewage Holding ), Preserve " 100% "; Deck Covering (Wet/Dry), Seal; Cmposite Labor Rate; Travel and Per Diem and GFP Report All welding and brazing shall be accomplished by trained welders who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures.
