Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Mid Atlantic Health Care Network (VISN 6) intends to negotiate a Sole Source commercial service procurement with Jeff VanEs to provide Mental Health Social Service Assistance to the Homeless Veterans Program, not to exceed 120 days. Tour of duty will routinely be four days per week, eight hours per day. Services may include Federal Holiday based on the ascertained need. Contract personnel will be assigned to the Mental Health Homeless Program. They must be experienced as a social services assistant in residential care, able to supervise a population of veterans with complex psyco-social issues of homelessness, unemployment, mental health conditions and medical problems. Contractor must be familiar with VA requirements for providing services for homeless veterans based on hands-on experience. This proposed procurement is for a service for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 13 June 2011, noon local time. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
