THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY; NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS NOTICE. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to perform market research, and to gain knowledge of the capabilities of potential sources. After review of the responses to this notice, a pre-solicitation notice will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities website (www.fedbizopps.gov ). The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) is seeking interested sources regardless of size capable of providing fluid milk and fluid milk products to commissaries located in the Midwestern United States. The Defense Commissary Agency is seeking fluid milk manufacturers, who can provide whole, 2%, 1%, and skim milk in gallon, half gallon, quart, pint, and half-pint sized containers to our commissaries located in the Midwest. The vendor would also need to provide commissaries with sweet acidophilus milk; whole, reduced fat, and fat free chocolate milk; buttermilk; eggnog; heavy and light whipping cream, table or coffee cream; and half and half. Contractors should also be able to provide additional support materials and promotions to each commissary store. Additional support includes point of sale material, recipe cards, pamphlets, nutritional facts, or other consumer related material. DeCA's commissaries are Government-owned facilities designed to operate similar to commercial retail supermarkets that provide food items and other merchandise for resale to the military and their families at a cost savings when compared to the same or similar products sold in commercial retail markets. Please provide an overall capabilities statement that demonstrates the firm's expertise to provide dairy products to the commissaries either individually or within a teaming arrangement with other dairies or companies. 8. NOTE: The store locations will be solicited in various groupings based on geographic proximity, logistics and market research. Potential offerors will be required to provide all fluid milk and fluid milk products to each store within a group. Potential offerors may submit a proposal on one or more groups.
