- Description
- Amendment #1 VA-101-11-RP-0115 June 7, 2011 The following are questions asked by prospective offerors: Q1. The ad focuses on Landscape Architects & Architects when it appears the majority of the work is Civil Engineering. Do you think that the solicitation will show a Licensed Civil Engineer for the lead firm as an equivalent to a LA &/or Arch? Answer: The NAICs codes for this announcement are only for firms with Architect and Landscape Architects as stated in the announcement. Q2. Is the pored-place concrete crypts in the scope of work a typo? Answer: Yes. This is a typographical error. It should read "pre-place concrete crypts". Q3. I know that a site will not be chosen before the qualification submittal but will one be chosen before short list presentations? Answer: We will provide any available site information to the short list selectees. Q4. I have a question regarding the above subject solicitation. The solicitation states the following: "Prime contractor shall have licensed/registered landscape architects as members of the firm, or team, with experience in the planning and design of cemeteries, large institutional campuses, parks and recreational facilities, or similar land development projects. The vertical structures for the project shall be designed by a licensed architectural firm having a practicing office within the State of Florida." And "A/E firms must ¦be licensed in the State of Florida." I interpret these requirements as follows: 1.The prime contractor must have landscape architects employed by the firm OR employed by firms that are part of the prime contractor's team. Answer: The prime contractor must have landscape architects or architect employed by the firm. 2.The prime contractor must either be a licensed architectural firm or must have a licensed architectural firm on the prime contractor's team to design the vertical structures. Answer: The prime contractor must be a licensed architectural firm as stated in the announcement. 3.The prime contractor must be licensed to conduct business in the State of Florida. Answer: Yes. Also the prime contractor must have a record of established business Q5. Must applicants have an established working office within 100 miles of Tallahassee, FL? Answer: Yes, The prime contractor must have a working office and established record of business, prior to award. *************
