Description
THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE – THIS IS A NOTICE OF THE GOVERNMENT’S INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE AWARD TO CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION The Department of Defense (DoD), Washington Headquarters Services, Acquisition Directorate, (WHS/AD) intends to award a sole source contract under the statutory authority permitting Other than full and Open Competition 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, to Concept Development Corporation for the CarbonFire 10 with Parachute Retaining System, a 12 Ga Carbon Fiber wrapped 10” Titanium Barrel. The Government anticipates award of a single Purchase Order. The Contractor shall provide: CarbonFire 10 with Parachute Retaining System, tripod and parachute T3 ACME Thread Breech for CarbonFire 10 Titanium Muzzle Brake SL-600PL Multi-shot Green Laser This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Potential offerors have 15 days to indicate their ability to satisfy the requirement with a commercial item. Any “commercial” item identified by a potential offeror must be evaluated for technical acceptability. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by responding to this requirement, no later than 9:00 am Eastern, 21 June 2011 by email to karen.smith@whs.mil. All information submitted should support the offerors capability to provide the items required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. The Government reserves the right to cancel the Sole Source Award. The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333314, Optical Instrument and Lens Manufacturing, with a size standard of 500 employees.
