- Description
- Western Area Power Administration has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and other resources to complete this project. The principal components of the work involve the construction of a new high voltage 115-kV electrical substation near Lisbon, North Dakota. Work includes sitework, concrete foundations, chain link fence, gravel surfacing, grounding and conduit systems, galvanized steel structures, furnishing and installing outdoor electrical equipment, bus systems, installing Government-furnished outdoor electrical equipment, site-built service building with electrical and mechanical systems, and other additional items as described on the drawings and specifications. The work is located in Ransom County, North Dakota. This solicitation is 100% Small Business Set-Aside and the NAICS code is 237130. The estimated construction magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. All work is to be completed within 180 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. All responsible business concerns may submit a bid which shall be considered by this Agency. A pre-bid site visit will not be held. Any non-U.S. (Foreign National) visiting or working at any Western Area Power Administration facility must receive prior written approval from the appropriate Western Security Manager. The solicitation, specifications and drawings, and any subsequent amendments will only be available in electronic format, downloadable from the internet. Interested parties can download the solicitation at https://www.fbo.gov on or about June 6, 2011 and the projected bid opening date is July 12, 2011. It is the responsibility of the bidders to monitor the website for notices and amendments. Note: All bids for this IFB shall be mailed to Western Area Power Administration, 200 4th Street SW, Huron, SD 57350-2474.
