- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for rental of tractor trailers prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Request for Quote No. A11PS00466 herein cited will be procured under FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. Solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-45. This acquisition is a total small business set-aside. NAICS Code: 532412, Small Business Standard: $7 Million (Description): The contractor shall provide services consisting of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment supervision and incidentals necessary to provide rentals from Date of Award to September 30, 2011, for the following equipments: 1.Rental of four (4) tractor trailers, Monthly rate for 1 tractor at $__________. 4 tractors per month at $___________ per month. 4 Tractors per month $___________ X 4 months = $_______________. The following are the Specifications: ENGINE: Detroit Diesel DD 14.0 47D; SLEEPER: None; TRANSMISSION: Eaton-Fuller-FRO-15210C; SPEED: 10 SP; FA CAPACITY: 12000; RA CAPACITY: 40000; GVWR: 52000; RE RATIO: 3.70; WHEELBASE: 171; WHEELS: Steel Front Steel Rear; TIRES: 22.5; WET KIT; 100 GAL LH TANK 100 GAL RH TANK ALUMINU FUEL TANKS; STEEL BUMPER; SINGLE BOC EXHAUST. Rental of 4 tractor trailers must comply with safety requirements. Tractor trailers must be 2005 or newer only. Trucks only, no fuel or drivers. Tractor Trailer must be in good condition, including tires, engine, body, etc. 2.Pick up/Delivery Fees to BIA Construction Site: N35-Sweetwater, AZ $______________. 3.Arizona Taxes $_____________. 4.Navajo Nation Tax $____________. 5.Grand Total: $___________ The government will inspect equipment before acceptance. Government personnel authorized to order and accept equipments: Joe Peterman, (505) 488-8609; Danny Peshlakai, (505) 488-3461; Herbert Tom, (505) 406-6000. The equipment shall be delivered and picked up within two days notification by authorized Government personnel to the BIA road construction project within the Navajo Nation. Equipment rental period shall be from date of award to September 30, 2011. Unless, the period of performance is extended by the Government, the contractor shall pick up all equipment on or no later than September 30, 2011. The Government will conduct an inspection of the equipment before delivery and acceptance. Offerors shall include the complete monthly rental price of the above items including all applicable taxes. Rental of Tractor is needed on Project N35(9)2, Sweetwater, AZ, starting at San Juan River by Montezuma Creek, UT and going south about 10 miles to an established water pond. Award will be made to the lowest price offeror, whose quotation is conforming to the requirements herein, will be most advantages to the Government, and is fair and reasonable. The preliminary notice does not commit the Government to an extension.
