Description

Construction Project 519-11-100, Expand Waiting Areas - AOD/PERC Patient Waiting, at West Texas VA Health Care System (WTXVAHCS). The Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS), 3601 S. 6th Avenue, Tucson, Arizona, intends to issue a solicitation requesting sealed bids for: The scope of this project consist of the renovation 2929 square feet of an existing Registration / Waiting Area and converting 222 square feet of an existing office into two RX Consultant Rooms and waiting area. Also included is the renovation of two existing offices into a 165 square feet PERC Office and 315 square feet PERC Classroom. Anticipated issue date of the solicitation is on/about July 6, 2011. Solicitation responses will be due in the Contracting Office on/about August 5, 2011, at 3:00pm local time. The bid opening will be held at SAVAHCS, 3601 S. 6th Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85735, Building 5, Conference Room 107 (Facilities Conference Room). Bid submissions shall be in hardcopies. Telegraphic, email, and facsimile bids are prohibited. This project requires the bidders/contractors to secure bonding. All bidders shall be registered and verified in the www.ccr.gov, www.vetbiz.gov, and https://orca.bpn.gov/. This procurement is 100% set aside for Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned, Small Business (SDVOSB). The NAICS code is 236220. The associated size standard for this procurement is $33.5 million dollars in average gross annual receipts for the preceding three years. Project Magnitude: Between $250,000 and $500,000. Award is subject to availability of funding. Interested parties are strongly encouraged to attend the Pre-Bid Conference/Site Visit scheduled for on/about Wednesday, July 13, 2011, 9:00am local time, at WTVAHCS, 3601 S. 300 Veterans Blvd., Big Spring, Texas 79720. All interested parties are strongly urged to attend as there will only be ONE Pre-Bid Conference/Site Visit for this project. The date and time will be confirmed when the solicitation is issued. This is subject to change at the discretion of SAVAHCS and any change will be posted on www.fbo.gov. Interested parties shall contact Aaron "A.J." Davis, Contract Specialist, to indicate their interest in attending the Pre-Bid Conference/Site Visit. Request in the form of an e-mail message to aaron.davis@va.gov must be received by the Contracting Specialist no later than Monday, July 10, 2011 and include the number of expected attendees.
