Description
05/31/2011 Amendment 5 notice and questions and answers Vendor Conference Please read the Vendor Conference instructions carefully. Please note the following: • Do not bring electronic communication devices (cell phones) into the building. Please leave your cell phone and all other devices in your vehicle. If you cannot avoid bringing your cell phone into the building, you must leave it in the designated area before you check in. • Each attendee must check in with the Contracting Officer before going to the conference room. No exceptions. • Each company must have followed the instructions in the Vendor Conference instructions posted on www.fbo.gov in order to attend. • No documents will be provided. • An individual may not show up for the Vendor Conference without following the procedures. A person must have received confirmation that he/she may attend. • You are encouraged to retrieve the classified draft SOW prior to the Vendor Conference. • A maximum of two attendees per prime is permitted at the Vendor Conference, Thursday, June 02, 2011, 9:30 AM, Clarendon lobby. Questions and Answers Q16. Can I retrieve the SOW via JWICS? A16. Once your company is found eligible to retrieve the classified document, you need to follow the instructions sent via email. Yes, JWICS retrieval is permitted. If you cannot receive email, cannot open the attachment, and/or cannot retrieve the attachment, please have the company Point of Contact email me for further instructions. Q17. Would it be okay if my company has a third attendee? A17. Only two attendees per company are permitted. No exception. Q18. I am currently working with DSS to fix the issue of [our company not being cleared] for safeguarding. In the interim, is there anything I can provide you showing that I can in fact store classified material? A18. To retrieve the classified document, you may submit the full name and telephone number of the company point of contact for your facility clearance/safeguarding location (such as your SCIF credentialing). Or you may submit another CAGE and review/storage location. The deadline to pick up a classified document is June 23; you'll need to submit the CAGE and review/storage location before that. Q19. I just saw the notice. My company wants to come to the Vendor Conference. Can we still come? A19. The deadline has passed. I am extremely reluctant to grant an exception. In order to grant an exception to this deadline, follow the procedures completely, but you may put everything into one email. Your request will be delayed if you omit necessary information: please be complete.
