Description
The Department of Labor (DOL), Employee Benefits Security Administration has a requirement for Nfocus Software upgrades to EBSA's PBXs to enhance its Call Center Management capabilities in order to maintain its customer service standards as its workload increases. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) increased EBSA's workload by mandating the creation of a COBRA Insurance rejection appeals process. It is anticipated that the Affordable Health Care for America Act (ACA) will increase EBSA's workload by increasing the number of Americans that have health insurance, therefore increasing the number of potential heal insurance fraud victims. A sole-source, firm-fixed price contract is anticipated. The proposed contract action is for services which the government intends to award to one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1-Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541519 with a size standard of $25,000,000.00. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document exists. Responses to this synopsis must be in writing. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. Response must include the capability statement and reference this synopsis by number and title. If you feel that your firm possesses the ability to provide these requirements, then you must respond by demonstrating your firm's technical capability to meet this requirement by email to Sheila Thompson, Contracting Officer, Thompson.sheila@dol.gov, or via facsimile (202)-693-4579, June 5, 2011at 1:00 PM EST. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Information concerning CCR registered requirements may be viewed via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov or by calling the CCR Registration Center at 1-888-227-2423. Point of contact for further information: Sheila Thompson, Contracting Officer, (202) 693-4570, or Thompson.sheila@dol.gov. Department of Labor, 200 Constitution Ave., NW., Rm.
