Description
MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OR SOLICITATION The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Jefferson Laboratories, in Jefferson, Arkansas, is conducting market research to support the National Center for Toxicological Research (NCTR) requirement for reagents to use on multiple Illumina instruments. The government is seeking capability statements from companies that are capable of providing multiple types of reagents to be used on a government owned Illumina Infinium iScan system and HiSeq 2000 instrument. The Division of Personalized Nutrition and Medicine (DPNM) require materials to sequence exons (protein coding sequences) from genomic DNA for on-going and existing projects. The reagents are required for the captured DNA to be sequenced using NextGen sequencing strategies. These kits consist of DNA sequencing reagents that can be used for DNA sequencing of samples from each individual. These kits will provide all the solutions and chemicals necessary to sequence and subsequently analyze the DNA. The Division of Systems Biology (DSB) requires reagents to sequence on an existing Illumina HiSeq 2000 instrument for an on-going Microarray Quality Control (MAQC) Projects. Estimated reagents and quantities include: Catalog #, Description, Estimated Number of Kits Required, Unit Price FC-401-3001, TruSeq SBS Kit v3 - HS (200-cycles) Provides kitted reagents for up to 209 cycles of sequencing on the HiSeq sequencing system, 6 kits, $__________ per kit. FC-122-1001, TruSeq TM RNA Sample Prep Kit -Set A (48rxn) Kitted reagents for Sample Preparation of 48 total RNA samples for single read, paired end, or multiplexing sequencing. Each kit contains 6 of 12 unique indexes each index sufficient for 8 individual samples. (Indexes 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 12), 3 kits, $__________ per kit. PE-401-3001, TruSeq PE Cluster Kit v3 - cBot - HS Provides kitted reagents for PE cluster generation using cBot on Flow Cell v3 - supports TruSeq multiplexing on HiSeq platforms, 6 kits, $___________ per kit. Firms believing they offer equivalent reagents to the above specifications are encouraged to respond electronically with no less than the following information: • Business name, DUNS number, business address, business website, business size status (i.e., SB, VOSB, SDVOSB, HUBZone SB, SDB, WOSB, LB), point of contact name, mailing address (if different from business address), phone number and email address; • Sufficient descriptive literature that unequivocally demonstrates that offered products meet or exceed above specifications. • At a minimum provide the following: All descriptive material necessary for the government to determine whether the product offered meets the technical requirements including: technical specifications, descriptive material, literature, brochures and other information, which demonstrates the capabilities of the contractor to meet the requirement. The offeror must provide information that the quoted items are fully equivalent to the name brand items performance and functional specifications. Offeror must provide explicit documentation that equivalent reagents will perform on the existing government owned instruments. Indicate whether the organization is the manufacturer of the items or authorized reseller. • Though this is not a request for quote, informational pricing must be submitted. The government is not responsible for locating or securing any information, not identified in the response. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is- 334516- Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing; Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. Interested Contractors must respond with capability statements which are due in person, by postal mail or email to the point of contact listed below on or before June 2, 2011 by 13:00 hours (Central Time in Jefferson, Arkansas) at the Food and Drug Administration, OC/OA/OAGS, Attn: Nick Sartain, 3900 NCTR Road, HFT-320, Jefferson, AR 72079-9502 or email nick.sartain@fda.hhs.gov.
