Description

This is a pre-solicitation notice to announce that the Department of Veterans Affairs in Seven Hills, OH intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for to perform analytical and administrative work in support of deliverables for the Health Informatics Initiative. The Health Informatics Initiative is comprised of three sub-initiatives: Workstream A: Establish a Health/IT Collaborative Supporting Rapid Product Development and Delivery, Workstream B: Create a Health Management Platform to Transform Patient Care and Work stream C: Create Health Informatics Capacities. The type of work to be performed is broad in scope and varies between the workstreams, ranging from activities involving various analytical activities, preparation for testing and release of software, preparation of documents and presentations, and planning and support for conferences and educational activities. Specific assignments will be made in relation to other initiative activities as they arise over the course of the contract period. GENERAL INFORMATION: This solicitation is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The applicable NAICS code for this action is 541611 and the Small Business Size Standard for this NAICS is $7.0 Million. RFQ ISSUANCE DATE: The anticipated issuance date of the RFQ is on or about June 7, 2011 with an anticipated closing date of July 6, 2011. The anticipated period of performance is 12 months after the date of award. When a solicitation is released it will be synopsized in FedBizOps at https://www.fbo.gov. It is the potential offeror's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of any solicitations, synopsis and amendments. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a firm-fixed-price Task Order with a one-year base period plus one (1) year option period. Option year will be exercised at the sole discretion of the Government. All offerors must be certified by the Small Business Administration as a Small Business. Also offerors offering a response to this notice should ensure registration in the Central Contractor Registration database at http://www.bpn.gov/ prior to submission of offers for consideration.
