- Description
- Amendment 1 The purpose of this amendment is to supply answers to questions regarding this RFQ. The following questions have been asked to date. Answers are provided. Question 1. Is the shielding vendor responsible for supplying and installing the DC lighting inside the MRI room? Answer 1. The vender is responsible for supplying DC lighting not installing it. Question 2. Is the Shielding vendor responsible for supplying and installing the four (4) receptacle circuits inside the MRI room? Answer 2. The vender is responsible for providing connections for 4 internal AC circuits but is not responsible for wiring them up to outlets. Question 3. There is no specification or plan for the electrical, how do we estimate quantities? Answer 3. The only electrical requirement is to provide electrical field throughs and internal taps for the specified lighting and outlets. The electrical work will be done on a separate contract as part of the internal finishing. Question 4. The requested performance for the RF shielded enclosure is 100db at 1Mhz to 10Ghz. This is not possible with RF windows. The 7.0T operates at 300MHz. We can provide 100db at 1MHz to 400MHz. This will be listed as an exception. Answer 4. There was an error in the solicitation. The completed shielded room should provide a minimum of 100 dB of RF attenuation over a frequency range of 1 MHz to 350 MHz. Question 5. I am assuming that prevailing wages will be required? Answer 5. Yes, Service Contract Act and/or Davis Bacon Act prevailing wages will apply to appropriate classes of workers.
