Description

Response to questions received in regard to Solicitation Document No. A11PS00167, Roads Construction Project FAIR 3 (5) Cibecue Bridge. Question 1 The Bid Schedule has 5 total girders. There are 10 total separate Precast Beams. Does the schedule classify each run as one girder ? RESPONSE Amendment will be issued to the solicitation to provide a corrected Bid Schedule, to change the Quantity to "10" (from "5") for Item 55301. Question 2 The H pile footage seems to be off by about 622 linear feet. Bid quantity is 1826. Plan quantity is 2448+ on page 09 of 52. RESPONSE The bid quantity for the H piles was verified and is correct at 1,826 LF. Question 3 Item 55301 reads 5 girders. The project requires 10 girders. RESPONSE See Response to Question 1 above. Question 4 We need to know the spec on the asphalt, and what is meant by "special mix" ? RESPONSE Please refer to page 57 of the Special Contract Requirements - Section 402 - HOT ASPHALT CONCRETE PAVEMENT BY HVEEM OR MARSHALL MIX DESIGN METHOD. Question 5 Using federal highway projects book "FP-03" which class of A.B.C. is to be used on the project ? RESPONSE Please refer to page 55 of the Special Contract Requirements - Section 301 - UNTREATED AGGREGATE COURSES
