***** Begin Inserted Text Document - 'BLANKFBOSYNOPSIS.TXT' ***** STRETCHER (LITTER) TRANSPORTATION V-TRANSPORTATION NORTH AMERICAN INDUSTRY CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM(NAICS) IS 485991 SIZE STANDARD 7.0 MILLION Solicitation VA-263-11-RP-0161 The Minneapolis MN. VA Midwest Healthcare System has a requirement for providing Litter/Stretcher services to eligible beneficiaries. The contractor shall furnish all labor, qualified drivers and vehicles to transport patients by stretcher and shall respond in accordance with the proposal instructions outlined in the solicitation. Performance period will be from time of contract award through end of the 12 month base year period,followed by two (1) year option periods. This solicitation is Total Small Business Set Aside. All qualified offerors are invited to provide their proposal. Offers, including options shall be evaluated for fair and reasonable pricing,technical competency and satisfactory past performance. The Government anticipates award of a commercial item contract to the offeror whose offer provides the best value to the Government. Award will be made utilizing a combination of FAR part 12,13,15 and 17 award procedures. The solicitation VA-263-11-RP-0161 is scheduled to be issued on or about May 20,2011 and will be issued via Fed Biz Opp.Electronic posting System at http://www.fedbizops.gov.The date is not firm and may change due to events out of our control. Offerors are responsible for checking the web site regularly to obtain amendments. Questions regarding this solicitation must be in writing. They may be sent by email to allen.brown1@va.gov or by fax to 612-333-3792. no telephonic inquiries will be accepted. Based on the current release date proposals must be submitted in writing to the VA Medical Center Contracting Office, located at 708 South 3rd St, Suite 200E, Minneapolis, MN 55415-1116 on June16, 2011 by 3:30PM CDT, proposals must be in accordance with the proposal preparation instructions outlined in the solicitation. No web based offers will be accepted. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) database in order to obtain access in FedBiz Opps.
