Description
This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov, the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition website located at http://www.navsea.navy.mil/nswc/crane/working/contracting. FBO is the primary point of entry to be used when access to synopses and solicitations from the World Wide Web is required. However, the NECO webpage as well as the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition webpage serve as alternatives if the FBO website is unavailable. AMENDMENT 0001 The Government anticipates entering into an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Firm Fixed Price contract for the procurement of laser systems, spare parts/kits, engineering services and data for the following three systems: (1) Hand Held mounted IR Laser Illuminator designator Laser, (2) High Power Crew Served Weapon mounted Infrared (IR) Pointer/Illuminator Laser, and (3) Aircraft mounted IR Illuminator Designator Laser. The requirement is for a minimum quantity of 1of any of the three systems, and a maximum quantity of 40 of the Hand Held IR Pointer/Illuminator Laser, a maximum quantity of 1,882 of the High Power Crew Served Weapon mounted Infrared (IR) Pointer/Illuminator Laser, and a maximum quantity of 16 of the Aircraft mounted IR Laser. The FOB point for all items shall be FOB destination. Inspection and acceptance of the items shall be at destination also. Delivery of the minimum requirement is set for 29 Jan 2012. This requirement will be full and open competition for modified commercial items utilizing FAR Part 12. Award will be made based on the best value to the Government. The offerors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration database, located at www.ccr.gov. The applicable NAICS classification is 333314. The solicitation will be available on or about 03 JUN 2011 via the Internet at the NSWC Crane Homepage at http://www.navsea.navy.mil/nswc/crane/working/contracting/default.aspx and will close on or about 05 JUL 2011.
