Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT to conduct market research to measure the availability for a possible upcoming opportunity entitled, "Dredging at Shoalwater Indian Reservation". The purpose of this notice is to measure the availability of contractor business sources and their size classifications relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 237990 "Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction" (Size Standard of $33.5 Million) for the subject opportunity. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Seattle District requires the restoring of the sand dune located on Graveyard Spit in Shoalwater Bay on the northern shoreline of Willapa Bay in Washington State. Sand will be dredged from a designated offshore borrow area approximately 3,000 to 4,000 feet offshore at a depth of 20-40 feet. The material will be hydraulically pumped to the work area via an 18+ inch (a minimum of 18") pipeline. Approximately 700,000 cubic yards of material will be required to construct the berm. Woody debris from the site will be stockpiled prior to construction and be placed along the berm after construction. The work will occur on Shoalwater Indian Reservation and Washington State lands. Access to the work area will be from the water and all construction equipment for site work and grading will be mobilized and demobilized by barge via two staging areas within the project boundary. The anticipated construction window will be from 16 July 2011 through 15 October 2011. The estimated cost range for this project is $5,000,000 to $10,000,000.
