- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) awarded a third year for Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), sustaining engineering, and depot material support services to General Electric Aircraft Engines (GEAE). This support was originally awarded under N00019-06-C-0088 P00012. The support under this modification will include supply chain management, material management, field support for the peculiar components of the F414-GE-400 Afterburning Turbofan engine, sustaining engineering, and ILS to include maintenance planning and technical data, modification and retrofit planning, training, technical directive services and recurring ground support for carrier and shore-based squadrons in accordance with the F/A-18 E/F site activation requirements. The period of performance is through 31 March 2012. This award is based on Title 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), whereby the supplies or services required are available from only one source, and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. No additional written information, formal request for proposal, or solicitation is available at this time. Requests for the same will be disregarded. GENERAL INFORMATION: GEAE is the sole designer, developer, and integrator of the F414-GE-400 engine and is uniquely qualified to provide the complete range of program support required by the Fleet. GEAE is the only known firm that possesses the technical data necessary to fulfill the Government's requirements.
