Description

The VA Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System, Biloxi, MS, intends to negotiate a purchase order for the procurement of angioplasty instruments / supplies for Surgery Service. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice in conjunction with procedures in FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested; however, a written solicitation will not be issued. It is intended that this requirement be solicited as an unrestricted basis, using brand name or equal procedures. The applicable NAICS code is 423450 with a size standard of 100 employees. The vendor selected to provide this requirement must have a current representation to the online representations and certifications system (ORCA) http://orca.bpn.gov. Interested parties are solely responsible for monitoring this solicitation and any amendments thereto. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be considered for award. Registration is free and can be completed on-line at http://www.ccr.gov. In accordance with VAAR 852.273-74, the Government intends to evaluate proposals and award a contract without exchanges with offerors. Therefore, each initial offer should contain the offeror's best terms from a cost or price and technical standpoint. However, the Government reserves the right to conduct exchanges if later determined by the contracting officer to be necessary. Questions regarding this solicitation must be made in writing to the Contract Specialist, Rene' Impey, at rene.impey@va.gov, or by fax at 228-523-4324 and must include the solicitation number VA-256-11-RQ-0504 on the subject line or the cover sheet. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS OR INQUIRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED. All responsible offerors are invited to submit an offer which will be considered by the agency. It is the responsibility of the offerors to check the website periodically for any amendments/notices to the solicitation to include the day and the day after the proposals are due.
