Description

Solicitation VA-528-11-IB-0193 IS A 100% SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. Award will be made on a competitive basis to the responsible Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business responding to the solicitation in accordance with the solicitation requirements. It is the intent of the Syracuse VA Medical Center, 800 Irving Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13210, to issue an Invitation for Bid for Project # 528A7-11-703, Consolidate 2 East and West Reception & Waiting Areas. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 236220, with a Size Standard of $33.5 Million. The contractor shall be required to furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supervision, etc., necessary for the Renovation of 2 E & W Reception and Waiting Areas. The estimated construction cost range for this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Statement of Work: Project 528A7-11-703: This project proposes to redesign the existing speciality clinic registration desks in the respective clinical areas to optimize the delivery of specialtiy care. This project will redesign the existing registration space on 2 East and 2 West in addition to creating a registration desk in the intersection of these two corridors to more efficiently utilize the administrative personnel on the second floor. This project will demolish the necessary existing walls, electric, lighting, ceiling, floor tile, asbestos mastic abatement, mechanical equipment, ductwork, and plumbing for the current second floor areas at hand and will redesign a new pratical reception area of approximately 400 sf, which will produce a more efficient patient flow and increase exam rooms from the areas vacated by thte existing registratin space. There may be a requirement to relocate and recreate respective waiting areas. This project will require basic office administrative utilities, all necessary cabling and equipment for voice and data lines, and all new interior finishes. Solicitation materials consisting of provisions, clauses, specifications, drawings, etc., will be available on http://www.fedbizopps.gov in electronic format only. These should be available on or about May 13th, 2011. A PRE-BID SITE VISIT/ WALK-THROUGH IS SCHEDULED FOR MAY 25TH, 2011. There will be ONLY one (1) Pre-Bid Site Visit/Walk Through for this project. Please meet in the A&MMN Conference Room, Bldg 2, Ground Floor AT 10:00 A.M., EDT. NO OTHER SITE VISIT/WALK-THROUGH WILL BE SCHEDULED. All interested parties, (subs & primes) should register at http://www.fedbizopps.gov as an "interested vendor" so that others will know of your interest in participating in this procurement. A bidder's mailing list, list of interested parties WILL NOT be prepared nor distributed by the Contract Specialist. SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at http://www.fedbizopps.gov.
