- Description
- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1), with Gentec Electro Optique Inc.,5825 Jean Road, Lake Oswego, OR 97035 for: 1- STEP-45 Temperature Stabilized 5 mm detector-amplifier with 50 um crystal and 80 Hz roll-off 2- Temperature controller and power supply for SDX-1115 3- Power Supply for Current-to-Voltage Amplifiers SDX-1073 and electronics with cable and cord STEP-45 detectors must be compatible with the earlier purchased hybrid pyroelectric detectors. Also, the here ordered housings, detectors, radiometers, and circuits are to be compatible with the temperature controlled pyroelectric detectors/radiometers we have purchased from Spectrum Detector Inc. The described compatibilities are a must for us to obtain a uniform and compatible detector calibration system based on item 1. Item 2 is a compatible temperature controller for item 1. These radiometers will be utilized in Air Force funded CCG project. The compatibility with the previously purchased Spectrum Detector models is a must to satisfy the construction and the calibration requirements. Technical specifications: - Item-1: Organic-black coated 5 mm diameter detector crystal of 50 micrometer thick. It is a temperature controlled hybrid pyroelectric detector to obtain spectrally constant (within 1 %) responsivity for the 1 to 25 micrometer range with a 3 dB roll-off frequency of 80 Hz or higher; NEP<8*10^-9 W/Hz^1/2 - Item-2: matched to item-1 Based on NIST's recent market research, NIST has only identified the one source that can provide the required request Gentec Electro Optique of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competition.
