Description
Martin Army Community Hospital, Fort Benning, Georgia has a requirement for one (01) each Getinge Model 8666 washer/disinfector, two (02) each Recess Trim One Side, one (01) each MP-COND, one (01) each Printer, three (03) each 3-Level Wash Carts, two (02) each Manual Transfer/Load Trolleys, one (01) each Installation and Removal, and one (01) each On-Site Biomedical Training to include service manuals.. The Government intends to award a sole source purchase order for this requirement. The suggested contractor is Getinge USA, Inc.., a large business. This requirement is to replace the existing washer/disinfector in Central Material Services, Department of Surgery, Martin Army Community Hospital. The current system is experiencing problems and a temporary fix has been executed. The replacement part to ensure continued operation of this unit is in stage of manufacturing, but a known due-date is not available. Possible alternate sources contacted for a replacement part revealed no parts are available. Steris and Getings are the only manufacturers of quality acceptable washher/disinfectors. Previous experience with the existing Steris units have been unsatisfactory. Parts are not readily available to ensure continued operation of this critical piece of equipment. Therefore, sole source is being awarded to Gettinge USA, Inc. OR/CMS has the potential of shutting down and having to send all surgical patients to civilian facilities if a viable replacement is not purchased expeditiously. This is not a request for proposal. However, companies that can provide an equal product must submit their technical capabilities to include complete and detailed technical specifications of their product, past performance information, price, and delivery time. This information will be reviewed by the Government technical representatives for consideration for future requirements.
