Description
VA Health Care System Medical Center, Fargo, North Dakota is seeking potential firms that have the performance capability for Project 437-11-102, Install Boiler Plant Dangerous Gas Detection System. Contract completion date is 180 days after notice to proceed. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) contractors. The estimated dollar value is between $25,000 and $100,000. NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $33.5 million. A 20% bid bond will be required at submission of bids. Performance and Payment bonds will be required within 10 days of contract award. To be eligible for award, SDVOSB must be considered small under the relevant NAICS code and must be registered and verified in the following sites: www.vetbiz.gov, www.orca bpn.gov and www.ccr.gov. Provide all material, labor, equipment, etc. necessary to complete Fargo VA Medical Center Project 437-11-102, Install Boiler Plant Dangerous Gas Detection System in accordance with the contract documents. Work shall include, but shall not be limited to, the installation of an automatic microprocessor based, detect carbon monoxide, combustion gas detection system. The system shall be capable of alarm logging and printing out the alarm log. The system shall have both audio and visual alarms. The system shall display the concentration level of gases detected by each sensor. The system shall have local alarm silence and test buttons that are clearly labeled. The system must be provided with a UPS/surge protection system. All work associate with the system installation shall be provided and shall include, but shall not be limited to, the following: system layout, wiring, panel, instrumentation, all required system programming, calibration (to include reports to be turned over to the VA) and on-site contractor start up and VA training with factory representatives. Work involved is primarily electrical in nature. Detectors shall be placed in the main medical center boiler plant (Building 10) and near the boiler in the regional office (Building 40) with a remote alarm system at the main medical center front desk area. All work shall be in compliance with all applicable NFPA, NEC, Life Safety Code, UFAS, OSHA and other pertinent code requirements.
