Description
This is a notice of intent, not a request for a proposal. A solicitation document will not be issued and proposals will not be requested. The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), Intramural Research Program intends to solicit, negotiate and award a purchase order on a noncompetitive basis with VisualSonics, 3080 Yonge Street Suite 6100, Box 66, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, M4N 3N1 for the following items: Product/ Qty/Description: CV-30067 Qty 1 NeuroPak 2 Deep Brain Imaging System KitComplete system for Cellvizio LAB which allows the imaging of Deep brain areas in awake, freely moving mice. The NeuroPak 2 includes one reinforced CerboFlex probe, 6 implants (under 300mg each) with 6 cannula plugs, stereotaxic adapter, surgical screws, screwdriver and a CD containing protocol information. CerboFlex 2 probe specifications: reinforced tip, 4 m fiber length, 0.470 mm tip diameter, 3.3 um lateral resolution, 15 um optical sectioning, 0 um working distance, 325 um max field of viewCV-30035 Qty 1 Advanced MosaicingAutomatically stitches images to build a map of the tissue under observation. On-line stitching and off-line complete mosaicing with tissue distortion correction. Increases signal to noise ratio, resolution and field of view The acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition FAR 13 and is exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6, Competition Requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government.
