Small Business Set-Aside
Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business

Description
Project specifications including statement of work WR-ALC/PKO Infrastructure Support Branch, Robins AFB, GA offers this opportunity to be accomplished using competitive acquisition procedures, 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). This acquisition is subject to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 238190, size standard $14M. The project consists of all tools, labor, equipment, materials, supplies, transportation and supervision necessary to replace the existing two roller deck sheave (runway sheave) assembly, a part of the existing BAK-12 Aircraft Arresting System, with a new government-furnished three roller deck sheave assembly.(a sheave is a type of pulley wheel). The work requires removal of the existing 2-sheave assembly, followed by careful saw cutting and air hammering of the existing PCC concrete foundation to provide room for resetting the new 3-sheave assembly over the original 2-sheave footprint. Also required is replacement in the original location of the existing 1½" thick asphalt tape sweep area and sloped aircraft roll over ramp, with a new 8" thick reinforced PCC tape sweep area and sloped aircraft roll over ramp. Installation of 2 sets of new 3-roller deck sheave assemblies, complete with new PCC tape sweep areas and sloped ramps is required, one assembly on each side (east/west) of Robins AFB Runway 33 near the south end, as shown on the Drawings. The rough order of magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. This range does not necessarily reflect the proximity of the actual estimated cost. To be eligible for contract award, prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Register via the CCR website at http:www.ccr.gov/. Contractors must also submit their representations and certifications at the online Representations and Certifications Applications (ORCA) website at http://orca.bpn.gov. Any questions in regards to this notice must be submitted in writing or via email to the Primary POC. We anticipate releasing the Request for Proposal (RFP) no earlier than 18 May 2011.
