Description

This is a Pre-Solicitation notice. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Iron Mountain, Michigan will be soliciting a construction project that shall include but not be limited to provide for and furnish all labor, superintendence, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, licenses, certificates, insurance, temporary protection, and other items designated under the provisions of this contract necessary for the select demolition of the existing roofs and replacement of existing roofs, including membrane, flashing, pipe boots, and related roofing accessories and the installation of additional insulation on building #1 of the VA Medical Center Iron Mountain as outlined in the contract specifications and as shown on the contract drawings. Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for the project, Replace Roofs Bldg. #1 Project No. 585-10-106 as required by drawings and specifications at the Oscar G. Johnson VAMC, Iron Mountain, Michigan. All work is to be completed within 60 days after the issuance of the notice to proceed. This project is set-aside for Small Businesses. All prospective contractors must be registered on the VetBiz website, www.vetbiz.gov, to be considered for award. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on Fedbizops. There will be pre-construction conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-construction conference will be included in the solicitation packages. The solicitation will be issued on/about May 20, 2011 with the bid opening on/about June 20, 2011. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from Fedbizops which may be issued to this solicitation. The project magnitude range is between $250,000 - $500,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238160; size standard $14 Million applies. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, Required Central Contractor Registration and in accordance with FAR 2.101, VAAR 802.101, VetBiz Registration, prospective firms must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and in the VetBiz databases prior to award.
