- Description
- The Western Area Power Administration (Western) intends to acquire on a sole source basis an engine remanufacture of a 2005 Bronto Freightliner, Model M2. The sole source acquisition is being conducted under the authority of Section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996, as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. Transwest Collision Center is the only known source in Colorado that has the access to proprietary data and parts to remanufacture the unit. This notice is not a request for proposals/quotes and a solicitation will not be posted. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting a capability statement to the Contract Specialist at eray@wapa.gov by 3 p.m. Mountain Time May 9 th, 2011. Capability statements must include sufficient technical material/information for evaluation of the ability to satisfy the Government's requirement without substantial duplication of cost or unacceptable delay. Any information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
