Description
The US Postal Service Northeast Facilities Service Office (NEFSO) is seeking roofing consultant services. The roofing consultant will be used to assist with roof surveys, small design projects, design reviews of other Architect/Engineer projects, testing, monitoring, and project management of roofing projects. Firms, including consultants, must meet the following requirements: To be considered a roofing consultant, a firm shall be independent and the primary source of work performed shall be "ROOF CONSULTING". 1.) The consulting firm shall NOT be a roofing installation contractor, material manufacturer, distributor, or shall have any affiliation with these market segments. 2.) The principal of the company shall be a professional member in good standing in at least one major roof consulting organization (i.e. Roof Consultants Institute - IRCI; Institute of Roofing & Waterproofing Consultants International (IRWC) and/or National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA). 3.) At least one principal shall have achieved the roof consulting designation of a Registered Roof Consultant (RCI) or Certified Professional Roof Consultant (IRWC); and 4.) The consulting firm shall carry current workmen's compensation, general liability, and errors and omissions insurance. Your cover letter as well as your SF330 should indicate which category you would like your firm to be considered for. You may apply for more than one category, as long as you meet the aforementioned requirements. The categories are: Category I - Upstate New York & Western New England: Albany, Westchester, VT, Western MA, CT Category II - New England 5: CT, MA, VT, NH, RI Category III - Northeast New England : NH, ME Category IV - Metro: NY City & Boroughs, Long Island, Westchester, Northern NJ The USPS may, at it option, include Title II - Construction Administration Services. The contract will be subject to negotiation of individual work orders. In each instance, total fees for services will not exceed $250,000 for each task. The yearly maximum shall not exceed the total contract maximum. The contract will be for one year with four one-year renewal options, which can bring the duration of the contract to five years. The amount of work for the duration of the contract (5 years) shall not exceed $2,500,000.00. There is no guaranteed minimum. The majority of work order estimates will range from $5,000 and $50,000. The estimated construction value of individual projects will seldom exceed $500,000. The USPS reserves the right to select more than one firm. Firms possessing qualifications to perform the services described are invited to submit a completed Standard Form 330 Architect-Engineer Qualifications no later than Tuesday, May 31, 2011 @ 4:00 p.m. EST to: Margaret M. Zorn Secretary, A/E Evaluation Board USPS Northeast Facilities Service Office 6 Griffin Road North Windsor, CT 06006-0300 Selection criteria will be conducted with combined use of Standard Form 330, Architect-Engineer Qualifications, Part I: Qualifications for a specific contract and Part II: General qualifications of a firm or a specific branch office of a firm. A separate Part II for each branch office that has a key role on the team, and a separate Part II for each consultant must be provided. Contrary to the general instructions, this office does not maintain a file of Part II due space limitations. In Part I, you must limit the number of projects listed to ten (10) projects only. Only one copy of your qualifications is necessary, which should be bound via GBC, spiral or staple. Please do not send them in hard cover notebooks.
