Description: The contractor shall provide lodging and accommodations to support military family members and designated individuals of wounded Soldiers receiving treatment at a NCR military hospital. Lodging locations will be in the NCR area are limited to close proximity and not more than 10 miles away from the following military medical treatment facilities: Walter Reed National Medical Military Center, Bethesda, Maryland and Dewitt Army Community Hospital, Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Six new rooms per night, at a minimum of three lodging facilities must be available any time, day or night, on any day of the year. Priority placement into lodging is required over other community activities and events at the lodging site with 100% requested lodging provided. The lodging facility shall provide shuttle service to transport individuals to and from the medical treatment facility 3 or more times per day. This solicitation is unrestricted. NAICS 561110 ($7.0 million) applies to this procurement. The Government anticipates a single contract award for multiple properties at each medical facility treatment location. All responsible business sources may submit an offer. The solicitation will be posted to the MICC Center - Fort Knox homepage at http://doc.knox.army.mil and the Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fbo.gov on or about 3 May 2011 with offers due on or about 3 June 2011. These dates are subject to change. All amendments to the solicitation will be likewise posted on these websites. Contractors are cautioned to check websites periodically for amendments. Solicitation mailing list will not be compiled and amendments will not be sent out in paper copy. All contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be eligible for award of a contract. Faxed offers and amendments will not be accepted.
