- The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Glenn Research Center isreleasing a Cooperative Agreement Notice (CAN) for the development, implementation andadministration of the Motivating Undergraduates in Science and Technology (MUST) Project.The MUST project is a competitive scholarship opportunity for undergraduate studentsspecifically targeting rising sophomores and juniors from a diverse pool ofunderrepresented and underserved groups in Science, Technology, Engineering andMathematics (STEM) disciplines. MUST Scholars who maintain the required minimum 3.0 GPAmay renew through their senior year, and are also granted paid internships at NASACenters each summer, along with academic enrichment opportunities which include access totutoring, and other related programs. The MUST Project addresses the national workforceshortage of STEM fields by providing assistance and support to students during the earlyyears of their collegiate experience. The Cooperative Agreement Notice is anticipated to be released on or about May 6, 2011.Upon its release date, this CAN will be available electronically throughhttp://nspires.nasaprs.com Proposals will be accepted from Minority Serving Institutions, which include HistoricallyBlack Colleges and Universities, Hispanic Servicing Institutions (HIS) and TribalColleges and Universities (TCU) and non-profit organizations servingunderserved/underrepresented students. Partnerships among these institutions and/ororganizations are encouraged to apply. Electronically submitted Notices of Intent to propose are requested to be sent to thecontact below. Proposal due date and exact location of submissions will be identified inthe CAN. Proposals received after the deadline will not be considered. For this notice,the provisions contained in the NASA Grant and Cooperative Agreement Handbook (NPR5800.1) applies. This solicitation leading to the award of a Cooperative Agreement is issued pursuant totitle 14 CFR Part 1260 for educational and nonprofit institutions.
