Description
Synopsis: Sources Sought Notice only. This is not a request for quotes or proposals. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. Seeking Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) 8-A, Hub Zone, Small Disadvantaged, Woman Owned Small Businesses or other small businesses to provide 3 refrigeration trucks for the St. Albans Medical Facilities located at 179 St. & Linden Blvd., St. Albans, NY 11425. Vendor shall provide on-site repair, emergency road service, replace truck(s) if required, and all maintenance and upkeep necessary to ensure delivery of food for VISN 3. LEASE VEHICLE FOR TWO TRUCKS Contractor must provide 2 trucks; New 2010 model truck - Conventional Cab Chasis - Mfg. GVWR from 29,000-33,000 lbs - diesel - power steering - automatic transmission - air conditioning - tinted glass - low back suspension driver's seat - std passenger seat - AM/FM stereo radio. Anti-lock hydraulic brakes 4 wheel disc or air brakes. Body: New custom built insulated body, 24 feet inside length - 88 inches inside width - 76 inches rear door opening height - 2 rows of "E" track on side walls - 4 retaining bars - insulated roll up rear door - grab handles at rear door - service steps and grab handles to refrigeration unit - service platform. Refrigeration Unit: New Thermo King or similar model Independent Diesel Unit with Electric Standby. Liftgate: Tuck-a-way liftgate - 2,500 lb. Capacity - 72" x 35" with 5" ramp. Payload capacity of the truck from 14,000 to 17,000. LEGAL AND SAFETY EQUIPMENT: 1.Directional signals with emergency flasher 2.Two West Coast Mirrors 3.ICC running lights 4.Reflectors 5.Mud Flaps 6.Triangle markers 7.Fire Extinguisher SERVICE: 1.Immediate in-shop service for any repairs for the safe operation of the vehicle. 2.A replacement vehicle "PROMPTLY" for any vehicle which cannot be serviced or repaired within a reasonable amount of time. 3.Preventive maintenance program; 3 months or 5000 miles, whichever comes first. REPLACEMENT unit provided at no additional charge. 4.Complete maintenance including parts and labor. 5.Lubrication, oil changes and winterization. 6.Unlimited tire repairs and replacement. 7.Towing Service. 8.24 Hour Emergency Road Service. 9.Washing at regular intervals. 10.Painting and lettering allowance. Note: if a truck breaks down during delivery, 2 trucks (repair truck & refrigeration truck) are required to answer the emergency call. If the broken truck cannot be repaired within an two hours of the call. Food will be transferred to the additional refrigeration truck & will continue normal delivery of food to the various VA Medical Centers. The NAICS code is 532120 and the small business size standard is $25.5 million.
