Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 246-2011-Q-0010 for an Ultrasonic Wound Care System for the Lawton Indian Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-50. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small businesses. The NAIC code is 339112 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The FOB point is Lawton Indian Hospital, 1515 Lawrie Tatum Road, Lawton, OK 73501. Evaluation will be based on price and probes must be fully autoclavable. Offerors are to include a completed copy of the provision found at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items with its offer. Ultrasonic Wound Care System must have the following characteristics: 1. user friendly design which will allow clinicians to quickly learn and fully utilize the system 2. interchangeable wound care probes that can provide the flexibility to address a variety of different wound types 3. ultrasound output can be switched between continuous or variable pulse modes (50-90%) 4. amplitude control to optimize debridement 5. automatic gain control function to maintain the selected amplitude, regardless of wound type 6. integrated peristaltic pump that provides a steady irrigation rate to the wound site for cleaning and maintenance of a safe wound bed temperature. Irrigation can be adjusted from low to high 7. handpiece and probes are fully autoclavable for easy reprocessing and quick turnaround times 8. digital display of ultrasonic use time, with reset capabilities, enables recording of ultrasonic use time per site 9. system monitoring for easy identification of fault conditions with audible and visual alarms 10. compact design and integrated handle for maximum portability between treatment locations Probes must autoclavable and be able to: 1. be effective on a wide variety of necrotic material for general ultrasonic wound debridement (broad angled contact surface) 2. be used on delicate wounds, when combined with ultrasonic pulse function, is ideal for pain sensitive patients 3. be able to penetrate deep, narrow wounds, that may need moderate to highly aggressive debridement (cylindrical shape) 4. allows wound to be saucerized easily and accurately (curved edged shape) 5. access and ultrasonically break the bonds between the eschar and the wound bed (narrow angled end) 6. provides aggressive debridement (hatched wound contact surface) Quote to include a brochure that explains the Ultrasonic Wound Care System.
