THIS COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION IS POSTED UNDERFA8122-11-R-0006-0002.This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial servicesprepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplementedwith additional information included in this notice. This announcementconstitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and awritten solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document,incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FederalAcquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-24 dated 28 Feb 08. The PurchaseRequest number is FD2030-11-36408. The solicitation number isFA8122-11-R-0006. The requirement is for Remanufacture of F108 LPTNozzle Segments. The solicitation is a request for proposals (RFP).Proposals will be received at the issuing office until 3:00 PM CentralStandard Time on 20 Apr. 2011. Proposals shall be submitted via mail,fax or e-mail to the party identified in the last section of thiscombined synopsis/solicitation. Qualified sources are GEES, Cincinnati, OH (062W2), Chromalloy Nevada,Carson City, NV (0UEH6), Chromalloy Component Services, Inc., SanAntonio, TX (1LKE9), CFM International, Cincinnati, OH (58828),Propulsion Technologies, Miami, FL (1GE54), and Snecma Services, France(F6048). All responsible sources solicited may submit a proposal thatshall be considered. Award will be made only if the product/service orthe offeror meets qualification requirements at the time of award IAWFAR clause 52.209-1. Interested persons may identify their interest andcapability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This also includes anything necessary in light repair. DESCRIPTION: The high pressure turbine assembly is composed of 23 echhigh pressure turbine nozzle segments. The nozzle segments are joinedend to end to form a 360 degree ring making the high pressure turbinenozzle assembly. Two vanes per segment are brazed to an inner and outershroud to form the high pressure turbine nozzle segment assembly. Thevanes are composed of two cast shells dividied into forward and aftcompartments by an inner rib. The vane segments as well as the innerand outer platforms have cooling holes drilled through their surfaces.FUNCTION: The high pressure turbine nozzle assembly and its individualnozzle segments redirect high temperature combustion gasses from thecombustion chamber onto the high pressure turbine rotor assembly.MATERIAL: DSR 142 material, Rene 41/142, Hastelloy. DIMENSIONS:approximately 2 inches wide by 3 inches long by 5 inches high. Weightis 3 pounds. RMC: R1C.
