Description
S.O.W. Obstetrician/Maternal Fetal-Medicine Human Development (NICHD) is conducting a market survey to determine the availability and technical capability of qualified small businesses, including 8(a) small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, woman-owned small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or HUBZone small businesses capable of providing one obstetrician who is an expert in Obstetrics and Maternal-Fetal Medicine with adequate expertise in the conduction of systematic reviews and meta-analyses to analyze and summarize existing literature. The purpose of such systematic reviews is to identify questions and efficiently and rigorously summarize the available evidence in subjects related to the research agenda of the Perinatology Research Branch (PRB). The PRB is located at Hutzel Women's Hospital/Detroit Medical Center, 3990 John R. Street - Detroit, MI 48201. The intended period of performance will be for ten months. See the attached Statement of Work for the needed services as well as the Research and Educational Objectives, etc. Interested firms with the capability of providing the required products are requested to submit a capability statement to assist the Government in determining in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.502-2(b) whether or not this procurement will be set-aside for any of the programs described above. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code 541990 with a size standard of $6.5M. All respondents are requested to identify their firm's size and type of business. Interested firms responding to this market survey must provide (a) capability statement demonstrating their experience, skills and capability to fulfill the Government's requirements for the above. The capability statement shall be in sufficient enough detail, but not to exceed ten pages, so that the Government can determine the experience and capability of your firm to provide the requirements above. Two (2) copies of the capability statement must be received at the contracting office address (ATTN: Tina Robinson) identified in this synopsis prior to 10:00a.m., Eastern Standard Time at designated location on April 25, 2011. Capability statement must reference solicitation# NICHD-11-060. Capability statement/responses by fax or e-mail WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Any questions must be sent via email to robinsti@mail.nih.gov and must include solicitation# NICHD-11-060 in the subject line of email. Capability statements, etc will not be returned to firm/sender. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for information solicited.
