Description
Note: FUNDS ARE NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE FOR THIS PROJECT. The solicitation for this project will be posted on or about April 28, 2011. The East Pine Creek #1 Culvert Replacement project will replace an existing arch pipe culvert with a 14' span bottomless plate arch culvert founded on concrete footings. The existing culvert was undermined in a flood event in June 2010. The project will consist of removal of an existing bottomless arch and its footings, placing or casting new footings, installing the new plate arch culvert, rehabilitation of approximately 150' of streambed, and rebuilding the road to pre-flood elevations. Two material sources are identified in the plans. The in-water work window is July 1 to August 31. The project is located in Baker County, OR approximately 10 miles north of Halfway, OR (T7S, R45E, NW ¼ of Section 4). There are two separate routes which may be used to access the project site (see plans sheet 2 of 8 for a vicinity map). From Halfway take State 413 (Cornucopia Highway) to County 1009 (Fish Lake Rd.). Turn left on County 999 (Clear Creek Rd.). County 999 will eventually become FSR 66. The site is located approximately 6.5 miles after turning onto County 999. Alternatively, stay on County 1009 (it becomes East Pine Creek Rd. at the Jct. of County 999). County 1009 eventually becomes FSR 6625 and dead ends at FSR 66. Turn left on FSR 66. The project site is about 0.25 mi from Junction of 66 and 6625. This project is estimated to be between $100,000 and $250,000.
