- The Massachusetts Air National Guard Contracting Office intends to award on a sole source basis under authority of FAR 13.501 to Fatigue Technology Inc., 401 Andover Park E, Seattle WA 98188 for the following: 1 each Force Mate Cold Working Kit; P/N: FTI-FMTS-410-1 and various Cold Work Bushings. The Cold Working Kit is used to install AMAD bushings on F 15 aircraft. The basis for restricting competition is that Fatigue Technology Inc. is currently the sole manufacturer of this assembly. This sole source requirement will be procured under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR Subpart 6.3 Other Than Full and Open Competition. It will be awarded on an unrestricted basis. The Justification and Approval (J&A) citing the authority of FAR 6.302-1, will be uploaded shortly for public inspection. This notice is not a request for competitive offers and a solicitation will not be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 15 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion for the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source to the manufacturer Fatigue Technology Inc. Responses are due by 10 May 2011, 2:00 p.m. (EDT).
