Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. This is not a solicitation, but market research to determine potential sources for the installation of cable outlets for 60 rooms/7 buildings capable of distributing DirecTV satellite connection for the Langley Inns Temporary Living Facilities, Langley AFB, Virginia. Installation also requires drilling into ceiling and installation of panduit and wiring. The contractor shall provide all personnel, tools, parts, supervision, and other items necessary to properly install one cable outlet in 60 rooms to existing mounted televisions. Contractor shall provide and install: 60 ea Directional Coupler values TBD; 7 ea CTA-30-550 Distribution amplifiers 30 db, 7 ea Exterior Mount PVC boxes 11-WTE-S 17x9x6 vented; 7 ea conduit and connections for coax from pedestalto amp box, from amp box to wireless internet box for AC power access and from amp box to attic; 1 ea Coaxial RG-6 cable for all interconnect 60 rooms, 7 building feeds; 310 ea coaxial connectors RG-6; 60 ea panduit type wire moldings for coax from celilng penetration to TV; miscellaneous anchors amd hardware for mounting boxes and panduit. Labor shall include hammering and drilling in the ceiling in each of the 60 rooms, panduit install from ceiling to estimated rear of mounted televisions, and cabling and balanced distribution in attic from end of each building. Upon completion of installation, contractor shall activate DirecTV programming to all 60 outlets. The NAICS code for this procurement is 517410. This sources sought synopsis neither constitutes a Request for Proposal (RFP), nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. This synopsis should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Interested sources should respond to this synopsis by submitting (1) Name, Address, and phone number of the firm (including CAGE code); (2) Size status; (3) provide literature (qualification package) that describes their product technical capabilities; and their understanding of cable outlet installation. The Government will assess prospective sources' potential based on the qualification packages provided. Firms considered by the Government to be most highly qualified to install cable outlets will be contacted by the PCO, and a list of such firms will be made available on the Federal Business Opportunities website. Firms considered by the Government not to be most highly qualified to install cable outlets will be afforded an opportunity to obtain the Government's rationale and offered the opportunity to provide additional information. Any interested source initially evaluated as not most highly qualified will be provided a copy of the solicitation upon request, should one be issued, and any offer submitted by such a firm would be evaluated without prejudice. Firms should indicate whether they are a large business, small business, small disadvantaged business, 8(a) concern, and woman-owned small business, whether they qualify as socially or economically disadvantaged, and whether they are a U.S. or foreign-owned firm.
