Description
Request for Quote - P11PS00381 - Small Business Set Aside - NAICS 238910. This project is located at Palo Alto Battlefield National Historical Park, which is approximately 10 miles north of Brownsville, Texas, on the Paredes Line Road. The U.S. Battle Line is approximately 1,050 feet long and 5 feet wide with two semi-circular 'pullouts' 4 feet in diameter and a 20 foot diameter turnaround at the end of the trail. The Mexican Battle Line is approximately 930 feet long and 5 feet wide with two circular 'pullout' areas. One 'pull-out' is 6 feet in diameter and the other approximately 20 feet in diameter. The Bike Trail is approximately 750 feet long and 10 feet wide with a white centerline stripe running the entire length. Construction Magnitude $25,000 to $100,000. The Government will award a firm fixed price contract. The work of this contract consists of the general construction of crack sealing, sand sealing, patching, and pavement striping (bike path only) on the Secondary Palo Alto Battlefield Trails (The U.S. and Mexican Battle Lines) and bike path, as defined on the bid schedule. This project will be constructed under a single prime contract. It is highly recommended that the Contractor visit the job site prior to submitting a bid. Work will be completed in accordance with government furnished specifications and plans. A paper solicitation will not be issued and electronic submission of contractor proposals will not be accepted. This is best value procurement and award will be made based on price and price related factors. The Government will not accept an offer for award on the basis of superior capability without concern for the price of the offer. Non-Price factors are significantly less important than cost or price. Factors include, but may not be limited to: past performance and demonstrated abilities in work required (experience). Details related to the source selection process will be posted within the solicitation in Sections L & M. Solicitation issue date is on or ABOUT April 15, 2011.
