Description

The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), intends to enter into a sole-source award with Idea Integration Corp. This proposed award is being conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii), which allows for other than full and open competition when "supplies may be deemed available only from the original source in the case of a follow-on contract for continued development or production of a major system..." OSHA has a requirement for ongoing testing of the OSHA Information System (OIS), a major information technology system that will house the nation's occupational safety and health information. As the period of performance of this contract is only ninety (90) days, it is not feasable for a new contractor to ramp up, learn the OIS, and perform effectively. This requirement will be a firm-fixed price award with a period of performance of ninety (90) days. NAICS Code 541512 Computer System Design Services with a small business size standard of $25 million applies to this procurement. This notice of intent is for informational purposes only and is NOT a request for competitive proposals or solicitation of offers. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquiries will be accepted.
