- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) intends to award a sole-source contract using simplified acquisition procedures under FAR 13.5 to Global Seating Systems (GSS) LLC, 150 Gordon Drive, Exton, PA 19341 for Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle seats. The items being purchased are: Eighty-one (81) each vehicle kits with installation hardware “ each kit to consist of two (2) each Cobra 16 Buffalo Driver/Co-Driver Seats Part Number 3N5M-555N301-1C and four (4) each Cobra 18 Buffalo Crew Seats Part Number 35N2-555NN03-1C. These items are slightly modified from the current MRAP Buffalo configuration to provide improved driver/crew protection and are being purchased for full scale deployment in the Buffalo vehicle variant. This purchase is not suitable for full and open competition for the following reason: The logistics chain for the subassemblies making up this seat configuration is already in place. Thus, spares for these seats are already in the supply system. For this reason, GSS is the only known vendor able to meet this requirement. A firm-fixed-price purchase order is anticipated. Delivery will be FOB Destination to NSWC PCD, 110 Vernon Ave., Panama City, FL 32407. NAICS Code 336360 applies. Size standard 500 employees. FSC is 2540.
