Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and shall not obligate the Government to award a contract. The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources interested and capable of performing the work. This announcement is to seek qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business firms interested is submitting potential CRNA candidates under the North American Classification System (NAICS) Code of 621399. Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition planning decisions. The Great Lakes Acquisition Center has a potential requirement for Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Services at the Federal Health Care Center (FHCC), North Chicago, IL. All work performed under this contract would be completed at FHCC. The Contractor shall provide Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) services. Depending on the workload, 30 hours (guaranteed) to possibly 40 hours per week. The hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (the tour of duty is negotiable). For the Monday through Friday shift after cases and contractor provider duties are completed the work shift is over. If need becomes available the contractor may provide an additional provider for this shift. Note: Contractor will be paid for actual hours worked only. Take call every 5th weekend from Friday at 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Monday. Also provide up to 5 days of weekday night call per month from the hours of 5:00 pm “ 7:00 am. Intermittent coverage as required if appropriate staff can be made available in the time frame required. Notice to contractor for coverage may be as little as a few days. Potential Sources who are interested and capable of providing the above services must demonstrate their experience and knowledge of the required services and the capability to provide such services. Potential sources should identify business name, point of contact, business size and business socio-economic category SDVOSB, and must be registered in VIP (http://www.vetbiz.gov) service capability statement, information for recent and relevant acquisitions similar in nature, DUNS number, address and any additional information felt to be pertinent. The NAICS code for this procurement is 621399 and the small business size standard is $7.0. Written responses to this notice shall be electronically mailed in PDF format or word format to georgiann.schneider@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Written responses must be received no later than 1:00 PM (EST), Monday, April 6, 2011. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available.
