Description
EXPAND & RENOVATE COMMUNITY LIVING CENTER BAY PINES VAMC, BAY PINES, FL The Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, tools, equipment and consultants as necessary to construct and renovate the buildings and structures described below. The SDVOSB Contractor shall renovate approximately 19,211 NTF of existing space on the ground floor level of building 101 Nursing Home area units A section. The renovation of this space will be the second phase of this Multi phase project. Phase I of this project will be to construct (build) additional space for the currently occupied area A section of building 101. Approximately 7,700 SF of new building space may be a standalone addition to existing building 101 a free standing building adjacent to building 101 south west side on the Bay Pines HealthCare System site. Renovated and new interior building spaces are to provide the square feet needed to expand the patient areas to meet all required Health Information Privacy Act (HIPPA) regulations pertaining to patient privacy and in accordance with cares space needs. The new building is to be a complete turnkey construction from ground up to activation to include all building systems. The existing building 101 modernization will include new flooring, walls, ceilings, mechanical, electrical security/surveillance and communications systems. Project construction completion is scheduled for FY 2012. In accordance with FAR Part 15.101-1 Tradeoff Process, the Source Selection Process will be administered in using the Tradeoff Process. The Technical Evaluation Factors and Past Performance when combined are significantly more important than Price. This acquisition will be a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set Aside. The Estimated Price Range of Construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.
