Description
This is not a solicitation announcement and should not be construed as such. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (HubZone, 8(a), Small Business, Small Disadvantaged, etc) relative to NAICS 622310 (size standard of $34.5 million). Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published at www.fbo.gov website. Responses to this sources sought notice are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought announcement. The Veteran Affairs Northern Indiana Health Care System (NIHCS), Ft. Wayne, Indiana is performing pre-solicitation market research to determine potential business sources and set-aside possibilities for Hematology Oncology Services. This includes all necessary equipment for treating our patient population. The physician should be a BC/BE in Medical Oncology and Hematology.and must be in good standing from previous place of employment. VANIHCS is seeking a.75 to 1 full time equivalent with responsibilities including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and administration of appropriate chemotherapeutic agents. Physician will need to participate in weekly Tumor Board meetings. The time requirement is for three (3) to five (5) days a week, weekdays from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. This need is subject to change based on the discretion of the facility. If you are interested and capable of providing the required services, please provide the requested information as indicated below. The intended contract will be a base year with two (4) one-year option periods. Potential sources must demonstrate experience and knowledge of required services and capability to provide such services. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their capabilities. Potential sources should identify business name, point of contact, business size and any applicable business socio-economic category (i.e. small business, SDVOSB, VOSB, etc), service capability statement, provide information for recent and relevant projects similar in nature, DUNS number, address and any additional information felt to be pertinent. The NAICS code for this procurement is 633210 and the small business size standard is $34.5 million. Responses to this notice shall be electronically mailed in PDF format and/ or word format to justin.peters@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received no later than 4pm, Saturday, April 02, 2011. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced separately from the responses to this announcement. VAIHCS IS NOT SEEKING PRICING OR OFFERS OF ANY KIND. There is no guarantee, expressed or implicit, that the market research for this acquisition will result in a particular set-aside or sole source award, or any other guarantee of award strategy. All information is to be provided on a voluntary basis at no charge to the Government. Any further information will be posted on www.fbo.gov.
