Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Mt. Home, PO Box 4000 Sidney & Lamont St., Mt. Home, TN 37684 intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with CenturyLink, P.O. Box 1319, Charlotte, NC 28201-1319 for a service contract to include local telephone lines, key trunks, PBX trunks, PRI's and Ethernet circuits. The NAICS code for this service is 519190 for information services for $7.0 size standard. The Government believes that CenturyLink is the only authorized provider for these services in this specific area. No Grits contract has been set up in this area for these services. This is a sole source procurement utilizing 38 U.S.C. 8153 and Other than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1). This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes, however; any firm that believes it can provide these services may give written notification to the Contract Specialist, no later than 8:00 am CST, April 15, 2011. Supporting evidence of ability to provide services must be furnished in sufficient detail, to the Contract Specialist Stacey Chumney via email address: stacey.chumney@va.gov or faxed to (615)225-5432. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, VA will proceed with the sole source negotiation to CenturyLink, for the required local phone services.
