- Description
- The U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source fixed-price purchase order to Hanley Wood Market Intelligence, One Thomas Circle N.W., Suite 600, Washington, D.C. These data will provide HUD's field economists with much needed single-family market data, particularly relating to new home sales. In addition to providing data on prices and the number of units sold, Hanley Wood also provides data on the number of new units being absorbed, units under construction, and units in planning. The data are updated monthly. HUD must have ready access to data regarding single-family housing market conditions such as average prices, recent absorptions trends, new home sales price distributions, and planned new developments. Access to the Hanley Wood Market Intelligence Research Pro online tool, Housing Intelligence Pro, will provide these types of data for those market areas covered by them, especially single-family market data, particularly relating to new home sales. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. See also 41.U.S.C. 253 (c) (1).
