- The Social Security Administration (SSA) intents to negotiate on a sole source basis with Innovative Data Processing, 275 PATERSON AVE STE 301, Little Falls, NJ 07424. In accordance with the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), "For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name or industrial mobilization).? SSA will be purchasing additional MSUs on FDR/CPK, and ABR/FDRREORG products as a result of an increase in the Agency's mainframe capacity.In order to support these initiatives, SSA's mainframe capacity will increase by the following MSU?s: System 82 - increase of 107 MSU?s - from a z10 2097-729 to a z196 2817-721 System 83 - increase of 132 MSU?s - from a z10 2097-730 to a z196 2817-722 System 84 - increase of 107 MSU?s - from a z10 2097-729 to a z196 2817-721 System 91 - increase of 37 MSU?s - from a z10 2097-708 to a z196 2817-706 System 92 - increase of 195 MSU?s - from a z10 2097-706 to a z196 2817-706 System 94 - increase of 79 MSU?s - from a z10 2097-706 to a z196 2817-705 Interested parties that feel they can provide the required additional licenses may respond by submitting their capability statement via email to Bradley.Karbeling@ssa.gov and through www.fedconnet.net by Wednesday, March 23, 2011 12:00pm EST. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice does not constitute a solicitation for offers. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill this requirement. This is not a request for quotation and the Government does not intent to pay for information received. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, SSA will proceed with sole source negotiations. All questions and submissions in response to this notice must be submitted in writ! ing to the email address listed above and through www.fedconnect.net. Telephone calls regarding this matter will not be accepted, nor will they be returned.
