Description

PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE Project 501-11-207; Flag Pole Installation, Raymond G. Murphy Medical Center. This pre-solicitation is issued as an invitation for Bid (IFB) construction contract. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials and equipment to install a 130 foot tall, ground set, steel flagpole in the parking lot in front of Building 41 on the Raymond G. Murphy Veterans Affairs Medical Center, located at 1501 San Pedro Drive SE, Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87108. A pre-bid meeting/walkthrough is scheduled for April 12, 2011 at 10:00AM local time. Attendance is not mandatory, but it is strongly encouraged. This is the only site visit that will be provided for this procurement and interested offerors are highly encouraged to attend. Attendees are to convene at Building 56 (Conference Room). All questions from this walkthrough must be submitted via Email, and emailed to both Matthew.DeWane@va.gov and Len.Wisneski@va.gov by April 15, 2011 “ 10:00Am local time. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare & Information Technology Act of 2006, pursuant to 38 U.S.C. 8127 (d), this construction project is set-aside for service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). All prospective contractors must be registered on the VetBiz website, http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/, to be considered for award. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, required Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and in accordance with FAR 2.101 & VAAR 802.101, VetBiz registration, prospective SDVOSB firms must be registered in CCCR http://www.ccr.gov and in the Vet-Biz databases http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/ prior to award. They must also have a current record in the Online Representations & Certifications Application (ORCA) website located at https://orca.bpn.gov. No hard copies of the solicitation or drawings will be provided; you will have access to them at the free site, https://www.fbo.gov/, once the solicitation is posted. All amendments issued to this solicitation will ONLY be available on the FBO website, https://www.fbo.gov/. Bidders are advised that they are responsible for obtaining all amendments. Potential Offerors please note the OSHA training requirements listed in the General Requirements section. Work cannot commence until the VA receives proof of required OSHA training and has the performance and payment bonds. Sealed bid opening is on or about 05/01/2011 at 11:00AM local time. Electronic and faxed bids will not be accepted. Award is subject to the availability of funds. No bidder ™s mailing lists are maintained with the contracting officer. The estimated dollar value for this procurement is between $25,000 and $100,000. The solicitation will be issued on or about May 01, 2011.
