Description

The VA Western New York Healthcare System (VAWNYHS) is seeking sources for an open market procurement for solid waste removal services for the Buffalo, NY facility. The contractor shall furnish all resources to provide waste disposal, including all equipment, labor and transportation, on-site receptacles as needed by the medical center, off-site processing as required, permanent final placement facilities as required in accordance with Federal, State and local laws and regulations. Contract period will be one (1) base year with four (4) one year option years. All qualified offerors/firms who believe they can satisfy the solicitation are invited and encouraged to provide their proposal. Offerors shall be evaluated for fair and reasonable pricing, technical ability to perform services and satisfactory past performance record. The Government anticipates award of a firm fixed price, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract from this solicitation to the reasonable offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation and will be the most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The method of payment will be EFT after submittal of a correct invoice. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 562112 and the Small Business Standard in 12.5 million. Bids are being requested and a written solicitation will be issued on or about 3/25/2011.
