- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst New Jersey has a requirement for the following items in support of the NAVAIR METCAL Program: Model 251 TL, 250VA Linear AC Power Sources, Thirteen (13) each. The TL Series model, 251TL uses linear technology to produce special purpose AC power. The variable single-phase precision power output is critical to the calibration of Inductive Volt Dividers, Electrical Power Test Sets, Aircraft Generator Test Sets, Radio Test Sets, VSCF Test Sets, Compass Set Analyzers, Syncro Resolver Bridges, Synchro Resolver Angle Simulators, Synchro Panel Meters, Self Nulling Synchro or Resolver Angle Position Indicators and Magnesyn Testers. The power output of the 251 TL Power Source provides is adjustable power output of 0 to 270 V RMS at 16 to 8,000 Hz. This precision output is low noise and low distortion. The NAVAIR METCAL Engineering Program has certified and approved the Linear AC Power sources for use in NAVAIR calibration laboratories and has written instrument workload calibration procedures (ICP) and equipment calibration use procedures for each this power source. The Government intends to procure these items under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(C) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. AMETEK is the sole designer and manufacturer for the identified Linear AC Power Sources. As the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), AMETEK owns the technical drawings, specifications, and data rights relevant to manufacture, repair, and comply with the original government specifications. T hey can guarantee the equipment meets the original performance characteristics, design features and operational instructions that the ICPs were written to. The Government does not own any data, or other specifications to permit full and open competition. As the OEM, AMETEK has approved Testmart (Technical Communities) of San Bruno, CA as the authorized distributor of this item. Testmart (Technical Communities, Inc.) is the only known authorized source for direct distribution of the specialized part number listed above. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which may be considered by the government in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
