Description
Western Area Power Administration has a requirement for a contractorto provideall labor, materials, equipment, transportation and other resources tocompletethis project. The work for this project is located at two microwavecommunication sites in Montana. The principal components of work include,butare not limited to the following: Provide new pre-assembled,non-combustible,metal framed communications building complete with all required siteimprovements and all architectural, mechanical and electrical items. Siteimprovements include: removal of existing propane gas tank, propane tankfoundations, and propane gas piping; removal of existing chain linkfencing;construction of new reinforced concrete foundations (building, waveguidesupport and propane tank foundations); providing new propane gas tank andpropane gas piping; providing new buried communications site groundingsystem; providing new site grading, gravel surfacing, and seeding;providingnew chain link fencing; LP generator, transfer switch, and providing newelectrical service. Bidders will be required to submit descriptive literature of the proposedcommunication building with their bid in accordance with the DescriptionLiterature FAR Clause 52.214-21. The work is located at two separate sites in Blaine and Phillip Counties in Montana. The estimated construction magnitude of this project is between$500,000 and $1,000,000. This solicitation is 100% Set-Aside for ServiceDisabled Veteran Owned Small Business companies. The NAICS code is 236220. All work is to be completed within 180 days after receipt of Notice toProceed. All responsible business concerns may submit a bid which shall be considered by this Agency. A pre bid site visit will not be held. Anynon-U.S. (Foreign National) visiting or working at any Western Area PowerAdministration facility must receive prior written approval from theappropriate Western Security Manager. The solicitation, specifications and drawings, and any subsequentamendmentswill only be available in electronic format, downloadable from theinternet.No CD-ROMs or hardcopy documents will be distributed. Interested partiescandownload the solicitation at http://e-center.doe.gov/ or http://www.fbo.govonor about March 30, 2011 and the projected bid opening date is May 3, 2011.Itis the responsibility of the bidders to monitor the website for notices and amendments.
